Now think where do your shoes go in their spare time any way back to the story . I like to get candy from the lolly shops fairs dairy's . But one time i was seen by my owner but i will save that later on . When i am not looking for candy i enjoy going to mega air play video games and play at the playgrounds now the time i was seen by my owner 2 times one time i was playing on my Xbox i enjoy playing fortnite and apex legends . The other time my owner saw me was a little more scary now imagine yourself at the park at 3:am now before you judge me for leaving home 3 in the morning i was bored so for fun i went to the park I was playing on the swings . Then from the mist and fog came my owner the giant i was odd form a distance he was tiny really tiny smaller then me so for cover i hid in a bush in the distance he was running running faster than before when he wore me . I peaked through the bush to find him on the slides now keep in mind that i am loud shoes so i could not just walk away . I thought that he came here to look for me but he just wanted to have fun at 3:am but after being so nervous and waiting for him to go he left . To go home i was safe but when i went to go i made a crunching sound off of the ground then his head jolted around with super speed . He looked like he was about to run but he looked through the bushes and saw me but it was to late made the slightest movement he ran of most likely to tell his parents So i ran back to the house faster than ever . Right back to my original spot but his parents believed him and i was put in a foul smelling dump the humans call a garage . After that horrifying experience i only walk to the park in the day and if i steel candy i spend a night at the diary now and that goes for mega air and flip out so i can be less likely to be seen at night time

- sea levels rising
- heat wave
- strong winds What is needed to change history? stop littering
Is climate change a man made disaster? sea levels rising
Dramaitc action must be made in the next 10 years to change it?
Why is our climate changing? great heat wave
What is causing the warming trend of the climate?
What is the main problem? fossil fuels
What are examples of these? ???
Burning fossil fuels releases what gas? co2
How much hotter now is our world? 1 degree
What do we call this global warming? climate change
How is this affecting creatures / animals like bats? killing them
What percentage of species are near extinction? 8%
How could this effect the world ecosystems? everything is hot
What global change was seen and recording breaking last year? hot temperatures
How is climate change affecting our weather systems? temperatures rise
1.
2.
3.
What is another ettect of climate change? the world id heating up
What will happen if the ice melts in Antarctica and the Arctic? sea levels rise
How does this affect people?
What other things affect oceans change? sea levels rise

Why did some industries not want to stop burning fossil fuels? so they can make money
Stop at 23.39
Investigation
You can decide on how you would like to do this investigation. Your presentation could be on the blog, slides, or Powerpoint.

- Coal
- Oil
- Natural Gas
Write a paragraph and upload an image about each of these renewable energy.
- Solar
- Wind
- Waves

- How much dung would we be in if there were no dung de- composers? Lots and lots
- Who runs this planet? Mother nature

Hurumanu - Science Badges: Introduction
Science Badges:
'Conservation'
- Climate Science
- Global Warming
- Recycling
- Renewable Energy
- Fossil Fuels
- Ecology
- Our Planet
- Water
- Plants
- 15 Points are needed to get a badge
- A high standard of work.
- All experiments are written up ( Aim, Materials, Steps, Conclusion)
- Two photos of your experiment
- 6 sentences at least for a conclusion
Science will be twice per week.
- Lesson 1: This will be an Experiment that involves blogging. You will be expected to open a new post, copy Mr Palmer's blog and paste it on your new post.
- Lesson 2: This will be an Investigation that relates to the topic from Lesson 1. It will be own choice and displayed in a way that you prefer. For example - PowerPoint, Doc, etc
BLOGGING.
All the blogs and science lessons will be displayed on Mr Palmers blog:
Bookmark it!
Expectations:
- 1 blog must be completed per Hurumanu lesson.
- A completed blog must have the four headings ( Aim, Method, Findings, Conclusion), correct writing and punctuation under each heading and be published. No post, no points.
- 2 images of the experiment / investigation on the blog.
Using the Scientific method of investigation:
Aim: What the experiment / investigation is about.
Method: Instructions on how the experiment / investigation is carried out. This includes the equipment.
Findings: What have we learnt or found out from our experiment / investigation. This is called Data, Information or Facts. It is displayed in a chart, table or picture.
Conclusion:
My Hurumanu Science Goals:
1. To complete my work in the given time
2. To make my work the best it can be
3.To be the first person to get a science badge

Science roadshow
On 28/11/18 we went to the science roadshow as a class we saw someone dress up as a caveman . I went on a spinning chair and I filmed miss tozer on the chair . The chair was when you held weights with arms and legs spread and tucked your legs and arms in the chair span faster . Then Shane bought a huge plate of fake poo on the table and Shane burned a hole into some metal if you looked through a hole and flipped a switch you could see a skeleton . Also Shane bought out liquid nitrogen I learned that metal expands when it is hot but not when it's cold . Shane also showed us what happened when we swallow food .
