P.E hurumanu dodge ball practise

Today In hurumanu we have been doing some dodge ball stuff we did our drills which was very fun and interesting we mostly just practices our throwing and catching skills. We had to buddy up with some other people in our group for some of the exercises but that is nothing to bad  we had to so a few other tweaks and changes when we did our drills we did something where we threw a ball at the wall as high as I  could and try to catch it I think that was my favourite drill I still am keen to play the other games that some the other teams have done we mostly know how to play them but the other teams might have made some different rules then to how we play normally.

the beeeeeeeeeeep test

I just did the beep test and boy do my legs feel like rubber I thought this would be easy like last year. I think last year we had a different beep test because last year I made it to level 97 but I guess it is because we are year 8  I really hope that we get to do this again. I can not wait to see if my sore changes over time. The teams all chose sports that end with the word ball. But if you want to know my score in the beep test was 9.8 there was dodge ball bench ball  something called tchoukball  soft ball volleyball and some other ones that I do not know the name of.

My goal is my next score to be at least 15.0
My other goal is to win.
The best boy was Gerald with 10.1 and the best girl is someone I do not know.

Give an example of a way that you worked successfully with others? By not bumping into people
Give an example how did your actions and feelings affect others? By getting people to cheer for me
Give an example how did you help someone who was struggling? By saying something engorging to motivate them

Why did we do the fitness testing? to get fit and to see what out score would be a few weeks later
What were your results  9.8  i tied second along with Bryce
What is an area that you feel you need to improve on  keeping a nice rythim
How did you help someone who was struggling  cheer them on

What I learned:
I learned that is not easy to characters out clay because when we put them back in the container they would break straight away. I also learned that I am not as good with clay as i thought .
What I enjoyed:
  • I enjoyed making the clay with my group in art . I liked painting the backdrop for the movie . I liked making the movie with my group and practicing  the lines with my group. I liked being with my group for art because they were really funny

CIP blog post eledlry daycare

This blog post is about CIP and my visit to the elderly daycare and it was more fun than i thought that it would be. I read them one of my library books which is about Guinness book of world records 2011. The elderly thought that it was really interesting and time really fly's by.  And my friend read them his joke book it was really funny . Some girls sang them some songs that we have had in hurumanu and Junior assembly. I really hope i get to go to the elderly daycare again and i would recommend it to any one

STEPS

  2.
  3.
  4.
  5.

Once you have made an anemometer we are going to record the wind speed.

Group size: 5

You will need:

Anemometer (above)

Roles:

  • Timekeeper
  • Counter
  • Recorder
  • Anemometer Manager
  • Wind generator
  1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
  2. When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
  3. If possible, repeat the above step four (4) times and record the average number of spins on the chart.

FINDINGS

  • Record how many times it spins using the table below.
You will need to create the wind yourself by blowing. Get 4 different wind speeds by blowing.

You will need to time them and count the number of spins.

Time IntervalNumber of Spins

  • Can you make a statement connecting the number of spins of your anemometer and the speed of the wind?
