Workshop 2

Shot 1 Jack and Julian are fighting because jack punched Julian for calling auggie a freak

shots/angles Dutch tells us that something is wrong
low angle make person on top look stronger/jack
& person below looks vunreable

viewers reaction shocked surprised worried concerned jack never stood up for auggie before jack normally agrees with Julian

why did the director do this close up cut of action to make the fight see the characters emotions

Directors purpose  close up used to make us feel part of the fight see characters emotions &reactions uses techniques to build our concern /shock

Other techniques  slow motion used to show us the details in the fight

music minor slow tempo dynamics increase from quiet to help us focus & create atmosphere

SEXXXY PARAGRAPH

Sin fight scene between jack and Julian camera angles used effectively to draw the viewer into the scene Ethis is demonstrated trough the use of low angles close-ups and dutch tilt shots the low angle shot makes jack look stronger and jack look weaker and more vunreable X This makes the audience feel concerned shocked and surprised because up until this point jack always agreed with Julianx the director did this to draw viewer into the event and highlight jacks struggle to choose popular and being right x Combined with this is the use of slow motion and music which helped us to see the details and the charterers faces and  y this   can be compared to the use close up shots at the start of the film when we trust meet august they are both used to show us a small part biggermoment
